#1 Post by tapleytown » Mon May 23, 2016 3:13 pm

I tried the aluminum Brightner and followed manufactures directions undiluted. it foamed and I rinsed within 20 sec. Test area turned white... Any suggestions?

Acid washes turn the toons white....temporarily. They will return to the normal dull gray gradually.

To make the toons look good, you'll have to polish them. I bought a bottle of White Diamond metal polish today at Advance Auto Parts, and will be pulling my boat (out of the boathouse) and putting it on the trailer. I need to change the lower unit grease anyway.

Thanks, that white made me pause. After reading some of the posts I am going to dilute the product and try again. Would really like to get the water stains off. It stays in a slip so I have a lot of algae and the stains

Put it on full strength, coat the hell out of it, wait about 3 minutes and POWER WASH off. It will turn white but only temporarily.
