Selling my Boat
Does anybody have any tips for selling a boat privately. I'm thinking about putting mine on the market, and I don't know what to expect about paperwork, etc. Thanks

Re: Selling my Boat
I created a slideshow on Photobucket to go with my craigslist ad when I sold my bow rider. Boat sold very quickly.
I'm sure all States are different, but here in NH boats aren't titled so the only paperwork needed was a bill of sale.
Good Luck. Hope you're just getting a different boat and not pulling up anchor for good.

Re: Selling my Boat
Thanks man. I'm in oklahoma and am not sure about law differences. It's probably not all the different.
Anyway, we may get another boat next year. My current boat has been fantastic, but I've had numerous problems with trailer #1 and now a few problems with trailer #2. None of them are make or break issues but the way in which I've gotten to this point has been a ridiculous set of circumstances with the dealership where I do business. They have been very willing to work with me, but they haven't been truthful throughout the process which has prolonged my problems. I'm burned out and just don't want to work with them anymore. I'm going to get the trailer fixed up and sell it. In would like to take a break and try again next year. We're thinking about something like a ranger reata or something. Something smaller, easily towable, more fishable, etc. We'll see how it all plays out but this is the plan for now. I'll take any advice for how to sell a boat. Thanks in advance!

Re: Selling my Boat
Sorry to hear that. I can understand how the frustration can take the fun out of it. Hopefully you can get back at it next year with the perfect boat to enjoy the water.
Here's a link to my slideshow so you can see how I did it. You'll notice the last slide is a screenshot of the blue book value. That was very helpful.
