Sold my big Aloha with the 150 4s Yamaha last year but couldn't stand to be away from it. I just got a great deal on a 2009 Sylvan Mirage 8520 with an '06 Yamaha 60hp 4s. They were both bought new in '09 and the engine only has 95 hours on it. Complete with tandem axle trailer. I am retired now so this one is going to suit me fine.
I have one question if someone can help. There is a switch on the dash for a courtesy light but I can't find what, if anything it operates. There is a courtesy light on the side of the helm station but it is a push-on, push-off type and the switch position has no effect on it. The switch has wires on it but they run into a bundle and I have been unable to trace it. Is there another courtesy light somewhere that I have overlooked? If someone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks, Jim

Hello.
The only courtesy light I have on my toon is the one you are speaking of on the bottom of the helm stand... It is my guess that the PO "converted" the light to push on/off and your switch wires "dead end"... It is only my guess... Others may help more. WElcome back and safe boating...
Sincerely,
Rich

Thanks Rich. I am waiting for the weather to cool a little so I can trace the wires out. I appreciate your reply. Jim

Hey Jim! Good to hear from ya! I've been away for awhile too, buts its work related! No time off to do anything! I have a buddy who had the same switch but nothing lit up. Low and behold, it fed outside LED's above his pontoons. Had no idea he had them. Not sure if you have that option, but it would be SWEET if that was it!
