Yep! after 8 years and 100 times on the same lake cachunk!

My fish(depth)finder had a ton of condensation in the screen for some reason and the sun hit it just right I wasn't paying attention to it. The lake is 2 ft down and I moved off the channel to let some jetskis by on a part of the lake I can't navigate in my sleep, we tube by there sometimes but always at full pool. This time I went to far over to the left, the lake is almost 200 yards wide there and the loudest noise I ever heard came from the back! I immediately turned it off, looked back and saw nothing but mud churn. I thought the lower unit might be gone, nope raised up the motor and nothing but a tiny chip in the prop! My son-in-law and I pushed it out of knee deep water and away we went. Transducer was bent to shit and cracked, but I had enough room on the mounting slots to remount. All in all I great weekend none the less. THE FLOATER hit 21 with 5 of us, by the time I got the camera out it was at 19.

Pelicans were everywhere! My bro taught us how to jug(noodle) for catfish on his boat Sunday as my kids all went home on Sunday. Caught some nice blues! Pics below. I know I need to re-carpet the bunks! I have the carpet just waiting for time to float the boat and work on the trailer.

wow, that really sucks, gotta be a real bad feeling instantly!
But now, tell me about that depth finder that looks like the transducer plugs right into your phone, where'd did you get it? I assume you download the app? Can you be charging you phone also while using the depth finder, seems your phone would need to power the transducer unless theres another wire for power. Asking because my transducer on my Eagle Cuda 250 seems to have shot craps and I need to get another one before next season.

Craig... looks like you got by with very little damage... that nick in your prop doesn't appear to be very big, but was wondering if you noticed any vibration or other effects from the chipped prop.. could have been a lot worse...

I didn't notice any vibration on the 11 mile trip back and came close to my top speed. I stayed pretty easy on it though. It doesn't have any up-down or side to side slop in the prop. It does have a 1/4 inch of in and out but I think that was already there. Luckily Truman is all mud bottom.

I found the bottom over the weekend too.

A big cloud of bottom got churned up, but I backed off. No new dings as I could tell. I was going slow and hugging the bank, I thought. Oops.

I didn't find bottom but almost did with my broken body. Was going down ladder when hand rail snapped in two throwing my bum leg onto the edge of transom. Luckily I had on a ski belt. For a while I thought I had broken my fused hip but just a big knot and bruise. I had had rails extended last year and it looks like the weld never penetrated the tubing but was just surfaced weld. Will see next week what he has to say.

Besides finding a nice soft bottom, I got lucky too!
