I have an 80# rip tide I pilot on my 23 tritoon and it is heavy! it performs well, even with the top up!.

I would think a 68 # would be sufficient!

Long long time ago when I was a kid I worked for a Hatteras/Bertram dealer for 5 years in Port Aransas . Main office was on Nasa Rd 1. Gulf States Yachts, not there anymore, fun job. Ran many boats between Port A and Clear Lake. Hung around Lakewood Yacht Club a little.

Well I have been there and ran boats in the "area" most of them were a bit larger than most large yachts.
I moved petroleum between Baytown Exxon and Pittsburgh for a few years in a former life.

My vessel was 155 feet long and 45 feet wide and the tow was 1150 feet long and 108 feet wide.

I would rather have operated smaller yachts but I could only find someone that was willing to pay me for operating the larger , less glamorous vessels. ;)
