Save your money and keep the ProXs on it unless you're going to the 150 Verado. The new ProXs 115 is going to push that boat probably within 2 mph of the 150.

Re: 2017 Harris Sunliner Tritoon with 150
We talked about keeping the ProX, i heard it was a great engine but i am coming off a 90 hp and feel the need for speed
The 150 is what i had my heart set on and he upgraded it at N/C to close the deal. I like the idea of the larger displacement engine not working as hard as the smaller engine. I would have liked to up to a larger Verado but too much $$$
Yes we are Colts fans only when the Packers are not playing, My wife is from Indiana and I grew up 100 miles from Green Bay in the UP.
Delivery day is May 2nd.

Good move, You know for sure you'd be thinking of the 150 for ever if you didn't get it.

Re: 2017 Harris Sunliner Tritoon with 150
If you get the 150 XL it will probably spray a little on the back deck unless they've fixed it for this year as the motor was a little low even mounted as high as it goes. They make a deflector plate but I haven't seen it yet that they are supposed to be putting on ours to limit the spray. The 150 is a good motor from my nearly year experience and we've put well over 100 hours on it so far. Make sure you break it in to specifications and also I would inquire about extended warranties. There were no promos when we bought so we had the standard 3 year warranty and go it extended to 8 for right around 1,000 and with us putting around 200-250 hours a year on the old boat I figured it would be a good investment for me since we should put nearly 2,000 hours on it in the 8 years. If one major thing breaks it more than pays for itself.
The 150 should get you into the mid 30's consistently. I can hit 38mph from time to time on ours. It's not a speed demon but is quick out of the hole and turns nicely because of the performance package.

Congrats! It looks like Chris and the boys took good care of you. The 150 is the right choice for sure.

Not sure on the motor length but dry dock will get it right, it does have the extended rear deck so that may cut down on any splash.
I normally deal with Chris, the folks at Dry Dock always do a good job. I could probably save a little money if I wanted to shop a around but the service I get from them is worth it. This is the second new Harris I have bought from them, I am partial to Harris as they are built in my home town and it is good to keep the local economy working.

Re: 2017 Harris Sunliner Tritoon with 150
It's not just the splash but that's the most noticeable issue to most. The root cause is that they mounted a 25 inch shaft on an 18 inch transom so the motor rides way too low in the water. I can only get 5200-5300 rpm out of the motor from day 1 and when I talked to customer service at Brunswick the answer I got was that it is "in spec" so they can't switch to a shorter shaft motor. The long shaft versions were about 10% faster on the top end. I can't get my cavitation plate even close to out if the water. It's as high as possible and I can trim to the limit at wot and turn as hard as I can and it's not close to cavitating. I know cavitation isn't desirable but in an optimal setup you should be able to push it to that point then back off the trim.
Long story short, the boat performs better according to all tests with the long shaft instead of the XL. We will probably end up putting a manual jack plate on the boat to get the motor to the right height once we have it in writing they won't void the structural warranty on the boat.
