Instrument panel trim cracked, where to find a new one?

#1 Post by hockeypuck » Tue Aug 01, 2017 8:36 am

Hello all, new to the pontoon world and loving it so far. Have a 2013 Palm Beach Cascade 240 and the trim panel around the entire gauge cluster is cracked up the middle. The crack was small when we bought it but after some good use this summer it just got bigger and bigger.

You guys have a favorite place for parts? I called a couple local dealers (New England) Left a message for one, email to another with no luck so far. Ebay also has been no luck.

Apologies if this is the wrong section for it..

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!
Can you put up a picture?

You might get lucky and find an unused one at

but it's more likely you'll have to fabricate a new panel or cover yours with something to hide the crack. I think if I were in your boat (heh!) I'd glue a sheet of some snazzy veneer over the panel, trim, cut out the holes, then seal with a gloss marine varnish before re-mounting the gauges & switches.

Winter project!

agree with the above, pretty easy to make a new dash for these things, I wanted to install my 7" garmin touch screen to replace the cheesy Humminbird unit that came with the boat, I replaced the dash panel using Lexan, I think it looks better than the original, fake plastic wood look.

Very nice FLOUNDERPOUNDER225 you have just cemented an idea in my head. I'm not totally impressed with the basic gauge package on our Berkshire and have been pounding my head looking for solutions...

I pounded my head for months, looking for that fake wood grain plastic and trying to locate a supplier even contacted Forrest river. It's out there, just never pulled the trigger. And I have mfg many boat dashes from lexan, so one Saturday I just said what the hell, worst case scenario I put the old stuff back in. When I finished, I liked the black look, it goes with anything, and the flat head stainless with finish washers looks very custom, everyone including the dealer complimented it. What does your dash look like? If it's the same layout, I could do something for you.

That's it we got exactly the same helm station, except mine has a Yamaha throttle...
