Rear View mirror

#1 Post by steve1313 » Mon Jun 08, 2020 5:29 am

Anybody have any suggestions for a rearview mirror? I always have my head on a swivel looking for other traffic on the lake, but it's still easy for a jetskier or small boat to sneak up on my if I'm not super aware. I'm not looking for a big ski mirror or anything like that, just something small I can mount on the helm to give me a bit of rear visibility.

Cipa makes one that clamps to the rail and swivels.

This one clamps to the wind shield.

PTM Edge makes one but looks like it requires drilling.

If I wanted one, I would probably go with the CIPA.

I have the CIPA and love it especially when pulling tubes or when there’s a lot of boat traffic. I don’t know why mirrors are not standard. The PTM edge is great looking but is way too expensive for me.

The CIPA is not small but is just right in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the PTM Edge (other than the price), but I need to double check to see if I can get access from underneath to mount it.

i ended up using this one. it works really well, i just stuck the mounting base on the top of my console and the mirror suction cups to that. no holes to drill or anything.
