why would I need to take the prop off....
I'm sure that is one of those "I don't want no stink'n lawsuit" things. Just make sure you keep people clear in case you accidentally engage the prop. Also it's not good to rev your motor too high while using the earmuffs. (technically known as motor flushers.)

The rest of page 52. :thumbsup

I think LTB racing is right. Sounds like the flush connection was designed for boats that stay in the water.

I'm more confused than a dyslexic congressman reading the Health Care Bill.

OK... :coffee ....here is the way I understand it........

The flush connection is for flushing the motor with out running it. With the earmuffs, you run the motor while flushing it.

Better?

They all say in the manual NOT to run the motor when using the flush port....that being said I have seen them all run that way without damage to the impeller. Is it possible to damage it? Im sure its possible but not likely unless you rev the engine as the flush port does route enough water to the impeller at idle but anything above idle and you are playing with fire.
My preference is to use the muffs when possible and let the motor run long enough to open the t-stats and thoroughly flush the system.

I started to say "retarded congressman" but that was redundant.
