Cool Float Cooler

#1 Post by Stephen » Thu Apr 08, 2010 1:38 pm

My wife and I went to Academy a few weeks ago and came across this brilliant invention, so I had her model it for me to snap a photo. I just remembered I had it and thought some of you guys might like it.

It floats in the water and has room to hold up to 6 beers around the outside. You can fill the middle with ice and more beer. Like I said, brilliant. I find that when I go out to the lake with friends, I can be floating in the water for hours on end, drinking beer and dreaming about food. So, I also had the idea of filling the middle with doritos. Mmm.

$25.

Great idea, and good modeling shot. :thumbsup

My only problem with that cooler is it doesn't hold enough beer. When I'm floating in the water next to the toon, I usually have about 10 others with me. That means that one round, at best, is what this cooler would provide me with. I could however send someone back up to the boat to refill it if they want a ride back to the dock. :lol3

Unless they changed it they have no insulation inside the plastic. We bought one and was worthless unless you have a large supply of ice. I wound up drilling holes and filling with expanding foam insulation. It also is a pain to store so we gave it away and use an inflatable one instead.

have you ever tried lining the motor pod and filling it with ice? Instant arms reach cooler :biggrin2

the next thing playcraft should come up with is a hidden beer cooler compartment right in a log accessable from the lake.
