I called the dealer today, they called tracker, tracker said the boat should go at least 25. They had me get the numbers off the prop, which are MD 13 3/4 X 15

I will see what they say. Does this prop sound right?

With the lifting strakes that thing so be going way faster.
Id guess once up on the strakes you could hit 30.
Either youre not measuring right or something is wrong.
Are you tooning up at altitude? Ours runs slower up here in Colorado.
Sounds like you need a smaller prop...
Each 1 degree drop in prop = 200 rpm gain.

Id drop that prop to a 11 pitch, so like a 11x15 or so....

Ill bet that would give you MUCH improvement... :nana

Have you worked with the trim? Does trim have any affect at all on the boat while you are underway?

I agree with others, my 22 foot Starcraft will do at least 27 mph (GPS speed) with 2 aboard and over 20 mph with 8 people with a 90 HP Yamaha.

Yes, the trim has no effect. I am taking it in today, they are gonna check it over, and lake test it. I will keep you posted.

Thought I would add something here, my new 30hp merc on my boat was not getting max rpm, so I removed cover and found that linkage was not adjusted correct to get max throttle, I adjusted it to max and it raised 200 more rpm's, not a lot but you should look there 1st,
however my rpm's are still only 5000 when I should be at least 5200+, my next step will be another prop.

The dealer is buying the boat back from us. They have been good to work with. We are supposed to have a check within 10 days. The next boat we buy, we will most certainly take a test ride first.

Huh, thats interesting.....guess they figure they'll just sell it to someone else who might not think there's a problem...are they trying to sell you another boat or just buying yours back?
