HELP! Low Water Levels

#1 Post by REPETE » Mon Jun 14, 2010 7:03 am

I'm looking for some feedback. Our water levels are way down. I have 27 inches of clearance under my pontoon when my toon is parked on land. My lift is in the water and the "support boards" are 17 inches out of the water. This leaves 10 inches to play with. I "think" my tubes are usually about half submerged when the toon is full leaving about 6 inches or so.. Am I missing something here or should I be OK? I'm thinking, that's not a lot of room. Even if there's just a bit of a wake it could be close. ???

I'm sorry but I don't understand what your trying to say. you have 27'' of clearance under your toon when parked on land. Are you talking about on the trailer? Your support boards are 17" out of the water. Is it lowered all the way?

You could have my problem our lake is 7 feet lower than normal there is 6 feet from my support boards to the ground with about 1/2" of water under them.

Are you saying you cant get your boat off the lift without droping it 10" into the water?

When the toon sits on the ground I have 27 inches of clearance from the bottom of the deck to the ground. When the lift sits in the water, and is lowered as low as it can go, the boards are 17 inches out of the water. That leaves 10 inches of "play". The more I think about it I don't think that's nearly enough but maybe I'm off base.
