17 here, 3 there

#1 Post by limulus » Mon Jun 14, 2010 9:57 pm

When looking at the general forum, I noticed there are 17 threads here with new posts today (June 14) and only three threads with new posts in the general forum at PWG. I almost never look there anymore.
EDIT: 25 June, I should have said PDF, not PWG. I have waterglide on the brain.

Please enlighten me... What is "PWG" or "tff"?

On another forum I asked a poster why he couldn't take the time to spell out what he was trying to say. In a thirteen word post he used 4 abbreviations turning it into some sort of cryptic message. If I had my "Decoder Ring" perhaps I could have figured it out and followed along. (Boy, am I dating myself here... I'll bet you guys never got the "Decoder Ring" in a cereal box for sending secret messages - you'd have to be over 55 to remember that) I was told by the moderator that I was out of line, rude, insensate and that it was my reasonability to keep up with the jargon... With that kind of attitude I can see why they only get 3 posts per day. I guess some of us just don't get it...

I hope I don't get banned here as well. Perhaps I shouldn't have used "I don't get it" in the subject line.

But don't the messages always decode to "remember to drink your ovaltine"?

I forgot I made this post. I should have said PDF (pontoon and deck boat forum), I had my Pontoon Water Glide (PWG) on the brain...doh! Anyway, it's dead over there. That little typo just made my original post kinda pointless.

Not banned just got ran off, while mods watched the show from the side lines and didn't bail him out like the other site, since he was still not answering questions we have been asking for 5 years now.

Yeah if you even asked Goofy questions at PDB. you got a nasty gram from Brady over it. They let him break every rule there, creating multiple accounts, etc. just so it appeared there was other users interested in his product. His goofybonics gave him away each time though. :rofl :rofl :rofl

I should have saved all the PMs I got from Brady over the whole Goofy episode, they were awesome. :happy
