Thank you for the advice toon! I hadnt seen anything on it affecting the stiching before. Also I noticed I accidentaly put Shitting instead of shutting lol.

Also when shitting down for the winter the best bet is to spray a generous coat of amor all I mean spray it thick and dont wipe it but leave it untill spring.

I can't believe everyone missed that. It probably would have sent this thread off course that much sooner.

I purchased some RV vinyl cleaner at Walmart and it worked pretty good. I need to try the Magic Eraser because I can just leave them on the boat

According to my manufacturer if I use Armor-all my vinyl warranty is canceled. Be judicious on the usage of Magic Eraser as it is something like 00000 steel wool. It actually is removing the surface of your vinyl

That's why I never use them. I tried the magic eraser on a tough spot on my kitchen counter top. I now have a scuff mark on that spot that you can see when the light hits it just right.
People swear by them, but that experience scared me from using them on my boat vinyl.

Ive never had problems with magic eraser but Ive never used it on Vynyl. I know its off subject a bit but someone told me there was an acid wash for toons taht would clean and basically polish the toons with an application is this the case or should one just go at it with sandpaper etc.

Check out a product called Sharkhide. They have an etch that really cleans the tubes. Here's a photo of mine after using their product, sorry don't have a before photo but I was very pleased with the looks.

Does anyone have any problems with mildew after applying 303 protectant? We've noticed lots of mildew several times when we come back to the boat after applying the 303. We made sure it was dry too.

Yep, I've noticed that as well. Although, I can't guarantee 100% dry, because of the damn humidity here, but none the less, I can clean well with 303 and not 2 weeks later, have some mildew at times.
