Were getting there, we have a google bot here most of the time and as we get more information on our toon knowledge on this site, we will start coming up on searches, we had over well over a 100 thousand posts on the other site over the years between all of us.

We just need to keep on posting and as the traffic comes up we get noticed more.

But anyway glad you found your way here Welcome

Google has a secret formula for listing you. I have got it to come up by typing in Pontoon forums. The more visitors to the site we have the better...Also the more links TO us from other sites the better. I am working on getting us listed on a couple of sites. I have submitted us to a couple of listing sites but they say on thier sites that it could be a month or two before they review us and then list us or not.

We need to have a sticky subject so we can link other sites from here as well I have a deal worked out I think on a site where if we put a permament link to his site he will put up a permanent link to our site on his boating site.

I have been busy with a funeral and being sick this week so I did not get anything done toward this this week. I will get back on it this weekend. I want to join some of the other boating sites and post links to us from there and see if that helps get us listed but registering and signing on everynow and again is a lot of time...not that I mind...its a personal thing, I want to overtake the other forum...NO..I didnt actually say that...LOL

Just for ha ha's I googled "pontoon boat forums".
Our site came up on the first page.
It was about the 6th listing down.
However, google will rotate the listings.
Just wanted to let everyone know you can indeed find the site via a google search. :D

Ya, getting listed in search engines is a whole game of its own!
Lots of tricks to be done, meta tags, etc, and the whole quest is time consuming and takes months.
keeping good info and and traffic in the site helps that along as well...

I google it at least once a week. It came up about where you found it also party barge. I want it to come up in more ways then just pontoon forums though, thats one reason why its important for it to be listed on other sites so much.

oh hey... just noticed you dont have any keywords in the keyword meta tag on the first page. index.html

Throw a bunch in there relating to the subject matter.
Like: pontoon, pontoons, poontoon boat, boat, sun tracker, bennington, pontoon forum, pontoon forums.
etc.

That way when the bot comes by, he'll acknowlegde those when searchs for those key words are searched for...
