iPOD Docking Station

#1 Post by REPETE » Sat Dec 27, 2008 7:27 am

The wife got me a Bose portable iPOD docking station.

Two questions:

How do I hook this up so I can get it to run thru the speakers in the toon?

How do some of you mount this....or where do you put your systems like this when tooning?

I'm out for a week of snowmobiling in the North Woods so I'll check back next weekend.

THANKS!!
Just verified it on Snopes. Liberals are complete mouth breathing idiots.

You'll either need the ipod fm transmitter or mp3 jack to plat it through the boat speakers. My daughter brings hers and it plays through the fm.

Repeat,
I sure hope you're able to charge it on the docking station. The new gen 4 Nano and I think the I-Phone might not. There is lots of discussion on the Apple groups about that problem. I got a new Nano as a gift two days ago and am finding out how many great??? changes Apple made to them!

The docking stations require an adapter, depending on which ipod product you are using. Here is an article about it, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1380

I bought the Mrs a Nono ipod, generation 4 for Christmas. The adapter that came with it is for another product!

not sure I would take a bose out on the boat. I have a cable I bought of ebay that plugs in the bottom of the ipod and charges while connected. Like this one but with the video cable as well.
