Hello from Northern IL

#1 Post by Rangercd » Thu May 05, 2011 1:53 pm

I've been reading the forum for a while. I bought a boat late March. I've taken a couple of boat safety classes. I have never owned a boat before but have operated a few. The class taught me a lot and I'm glad I took the time.
I'm a diver and fisherman. Love to camp, mud run atv.
I'm originally from southern IL. The west end of Lake Kinkaid is our old family farm. The camp ground there was our upper field.
My plan it to trailer my boat to several of the lakes in WI, IL, IN, KY and FL.
Looking at the preview of posting this message, I even figured out how to include boat info in the signature. Then noticed I didn't place my real name so I'll go edit that but Hi, I'm Charlie

In my reading of the forum for a while, I have read messages from the vocal old salts with obviously loads of knowledge and experience. I look forward to learning more and adding my 2 cents when it would benefit.

To those old salts, please know that I am not disrespecting you at all and this has no reference to your age. Just your experience. Thank you for the help you have unknowingly supplied me with. Looking for a boat and selecting a boat was aided by seeing all the pictures of every boat I could look at. Thanks again

Welcome from an old salt. You can lick my skin and taste it! I just dip my fingers in a margarita to give it that salty taste. :lol3 :lol3 :lol3

Nice boat dont scratch it!

Thank you all.
Margaritaman.....Trust me, I pass
Lakerunner-I don't know that a young whipper snapper would know what a old salt was.

Nice to meet all of you. I've ready many of all your post.

Welcome to the zoo - I mean forum. That is a sweet rig you have there, put to good use as much as you can! That's the secret; lots of quick activity is better than one long session very infrequently.
Uhhh, we are still talking about boats, right???
