Thanks Sir, I appreciate it! I'll have to admit I'm pretty proud so far, I had some people ask me what I'm gonna do if someone wanted to buy it after I'm done? I said I don't know if I'll be able to sell it, I've got so much time, hard work and money in it plus it has that special value because of my grandpa helping me get it and spending so much time together on it... It's pretty much a new boat, all the interior is new, floor is new, biminis are new, hopefully the motor will be new before to long!!

That's a great project, and it looks like you are doing a terrific job... it really helps when you've the knowlege, tools, and time <and help> to take on such a big task. You'll be the proudest captain on the water when you're done.

I finished my rails today, and I also got my front gate modified to accept the trolling motor. My father in law is suppost to be coming over soon to finish painting for me, there's my rubrails, the front gate and some touchups on the big section of rails! I'm strongly considering painting the tube risers the same red that my rubrails will be painted but I haven't made my mind up yet!

Thanks Craig, the grass isn't to hard for me to keep green, I installed a killer irragation system a couple summers ago. That combined with my hired lawn guys it's pretty easy! :thumbsup

I haven't mounted anything yet but I'm bad about setting it all on my boat and just looking. I could do the same thing with a tape measure but I just like seeing the actual thing sitting there..I wanted to see how the raised helm stand and console lined up, also wanted to get an idea of how tall I wanted the sink area here's some pics

Image

The seat bases are the perfect size for my sink so I'm going to build a stand that's the same size with the exception of going all the way to the rail.

Image

Here's the aluminum trim that I will install after the teak is installed

Image

I've also been brainstorming on where I can mount some subwoofers, I noticed this dead space and was thinking that it would be a toe stumper so as of now I'm going to build a angle box to fit here to mount one of the subs

Image

Image

I'm going to install another sub for the back half of the boat and the plan for it is a small box behind the captain seat next to the sink area....don't get excited all of this stuff is back in the garage and not mounted but it will be soon!

I got a sweet valentines gift from my wife today!! This is the grill I've been wanting for awhile and never bought it! It has 2 burners and uses the big propane tank instead of the little green ones

I have the same BBQ utensil set. The suitcase it comes in scares liberals. This one chick at Canal Days one year said she was expecting a firearm to come out of it :rofl :rofl

I've been wanting to give my motor a facelift for some time now and I figured since my boat is looking alot newer why not the engine to? Well I started sanding away today, I got it all sanded (except the cowl) and started painting....I used self etching primer and primed it real good and then started laying down the paint! I wish I had gotten some before pics but I got carried away and forgot, here is some pics

Image

Image

You can see in this pic I had just started with the black paint on the lower unit

Here is a up close pic of the paint, I loved the way it looked once applied. It is black metallic and it has a white/silver flake in it....it looks like brand new oem paint...(at least I think it does)

Image

I'm almost done sanding the cowl I just ran outta time today, had church this evening.
