#1 Post by fatee2k » Tue Feb 17, 2009 7:44 am

HI first time here, and first time buyer of a pontoon, got rid of the 34 offshore boat, new baby.. new life, new boat, went to the boat show and wife fell in love with the 25 grand majestic ltd from premier, with the ptx system, really is a nice boat, outfitting it with a 6.2 merc, bravo 3 drive, just wondering if anyone has any experenice with this boat or this pkg, and any input would be very appreciated..thank you..

I don't have any knowledge about the boat you are looking at but sounds like a nice setup. There are people here that will join in if they ever get out of the off-topic section.

Welcome ! While I don't have any experience with your pontoon's brand, I am a fan of Mercruiser. You'll love it.

Premier is a top notch boat, especially with the ptx package. Ran across this test drive,

Premier is a great boat!! We have a 2008 235 Grand Majestic LTD with the 36"PTX powered by a Suzuki 250SS.The ride (even the rough water )is as smooth as any boat I have ever been on, handling is great.Just test drive the boat and will see. Before we orderd our boat we looked at several Bennington, SouthBay, Veranda and Aloha. All were great toons. Command view helm, nano vinyl, flex steel seating and the 10 star captains chair

We have not our boat to its max !!!!YET!!!! We had just completed our 20 hr break-in period at the end of Sept.. I took the boat to 45.7 mph(GPS)speedometer at 45mph at 5600 RPM. Max RPM is 6200 -6250 . Hoping for 50 to 51 MPH at max RPM.That was with 4 Adults and a full Tank of gas 53 gallons and a cooler full of Bud Light

Premier's factory and a very large dealer is right on the way to our lake cabin. We looked at Premier very closely as it is the most popular boat on our lake. We owned a Premier as well prior to our new purchase at that same dealer last fall. Would have bought another one if we had not found such a great deal on the one we did buy. I have seen the same boat you are talking about on our lake. It is incredible as to how fast and nimble that big boat is. Everybody talks about it. It is simply amazing to see it go as fast as it does and turn in such a tight radius. You will not be dissapointed in my opinion.
