Hey, mrtoler:

I just wanted to say what all the other folks have said already. You really did some fantastic fabrication work there. Really top notch. I am doing my own rehab project and you have given me a number of ideas. Thanks for that! Enjoy!

Man i bet it felt good to be on the water again. You have done a great job and you should be proud of your work cause it looks good. Where do you normally fish at ? I keep my pontoon on livingston.

I just got home from bass pro shops and I got a few small things for my boat, I got the plug for my trolling motor that mounts in the floor and I'll install it tomorrow. I aslo got a few small brackets for the bimini top (Im building a set of trailer legs) that I needed, and I finally got the cover for my gps. Now that it's flush mounted it needed some protection!

Well I've been using my boat pretty much friday-Sunday every weekend so I haven't been doing much work on it! This weekend was extremely windy and we had a few things to do so we stayed away from the lake this weekend...I managed to get a few small things done, like a major cleaning and pressure washing...I've noticed that the vinyl floor seems to hold stuff in it like stains, I tried to clean with soap/ water and a brush and it just didn't cut it so I got the pressure washer and it cleaned it pretty well....I bought some vinyl paint awhile back to clean up the doors I salvaged from my old interior to use on my sink stand. I cleaned them up today and they look brand new here's some pics!

This is before, they are 20 years old and turned a yellowish color

You can see a difference in before and after in these pics

Here's a up close of the paint

All finished up, looks alot newer to me!

Still haven't installed my radio I've been busy on other things lately. I did get out on the lake today and got a nice pic of my boat sitting at the beach. I also got some good testing time with my new stick it anchor pin, it worked awesome and is worth the money if you fish or anchor in shallow water....here's the proof

Image

This is when we were still moving and I jammed the anchor pin into the bottom

Image

It leans way over and stops the boat then pulls itself right back up

Image

Never pulled out of the bottom the whole time....this beats a heavy anchor anyday

Mr. Toler, just echoing the sentiments of all the others who have looked at the pics of your work... OUTSTANDING. I myself don't have the skills or the patience required to do what you've done... but I can only imagine how proud you must be of your boat knowing all that work that has gone into it... again, OUTSTANDING. now about your anchor.... We fish on our toon all the time.. usually we tie up the front end to a tree, and then I'll throw out a couple of 15# mushroom anchors ( soft muddy bottom ) at the rear.... what kind of anchor is that you use? more info or just a link to it if you don't mind... thanks...

It's a 10' long rod with a handle on top for easy removeal, I bought it locally and paid $150 the 8' is $90, I also got the mount for my boat that they call the break but I haven't installed it yet. Mine came as a kit with the rod two ropes with loops on both ends and the holders to store the rod while underway...I'm very impressed with it's performance it's super easy to set and remove from the bottom and holds my 24' loaded down toon with double biminis open in a 12mph wind no problem. Mrtoler,

This was an awesome thread. I hope that you have many good time with your grandfather on your boat. It is absolutely amazing what you have done and your boat looks great.
