new pontooner or pontoonee

#1 Post by smoker62 » Tue May 22, 2012 6:37 pm

Hi all , after owning 5 boats in the last 4 years , the last being a Ranger 620 with a 250 Merc Verado, I am finally the proud owner of a new 2012 South Bay 522CR. My first pontoon and for some reason the boat I have been most excited about getting. I upgraded from the packaged Merc 90 4s to a Merc 115 4s.

Not quite sure what to do first other than enjoy it. I pick it up Sat. and am heading up to Castle Rock Lake in Wi. for the Memorial day weekend. I am from Kenosha , WI. and have a camper on a seasonal site in the area.

Welcome. I think you will find Pontooning to be both fun & relaxing. I had a runabout & Jetski before my Pontoon. They were fun but it seems that a Pontoon is much more versatile. Enjoy.

Thanks all, yeah the dog didnt want to get off the boat. All I would say is boat in the morning and she would go nuts. She loves it as much as my wife.

Sorry for the large pics. Feel free to down size. I never was good at posting them. Actually my wife would probably not be too happy about the pic being such a close up . :scared
