doesn't look legal to me. no battery box or tray to catch spilled acid.
i don't see any straps holding down the fuel tank. is it secured at the
bottom? it needs to be securely mounted to be legal.

even with a battery box and tank mounts--if it were my boat, i'd move
the battery to the other side.

Looks like someone said, "Oh shit, we forgot to put the battery on it", just as it was coming off the assembly floor.

I would move it and get it into a box. I believe this is the way they deliver the boat but someone wasn't thinking very clearly when they came up with this design.

if one ever sparks and the tank goes up, the
attorneys will be thinking VERY clearly.

Doesn't look safe or even to CG specs. Did it come from the factory like that or was it relocated ?

That had to have been relocated....
It should be on the other side of that wall on the left...

I think fuel tanks REQUIRE to not be within 2-3 inches of anything due to expansion alone...

I've only owned it since the first of March. I've looked several times but I don't see any evidence of anything being moved or re-routed. The previous owner (who bought it new) did tell me that he had the engine upgraded from a 40 to a 90hp before it ever left the dealer. Would they have had a reason to move it then?

find out who the dealer was and ask them if they put it there.
if they did, offer to let them move it at no charge to you.
if they say no, tell them your attorney will be checking into
the legality of their work.

whoever did that shouldn't have done that.

I have a 2000 fishinbarge21. The gas tank is in it's own compartment on the port / stern. The battery compartment is on te starboard / stern. The batter compartment is big enough for two batteries with the battery trays and straps. My gas tank is built in.
I am surprised to see a Sun Tracker with the battery next to the fuel tank. Looks like future trouble.

WOW, that doesn't look safe at all. Is there room to mount them in the rear like mine?
