Thanks. I did end up coming out OK last weekend, and even worked on it a bit, but I'm having one of those "every thing hits the fan" kinda months and I'm swamped. But I have gotten a few more things done, just too busy to do the pic thing  Here's a teaser

Nope. It's fiberglass, no different then painting auto body parts. If the gel is good you don't even need to prime. I didn't have access to a gun when I did this one, I just rattle canned it :nana
It looks OK, but it could be better.

I've been working on this project here and there, really I have! I even plan on posting some pics to prove it by the end of the weekend :box

I do need some input, if any one has any experience with Seastar Power Steering. What pump should I get? I have every thing but the power assist pump (I'm sure I'll need some lines but that's no big deal). I'm seeing so many different ones not sure what I need....

This is the normal pump for your system, Ty, unless you are using a some monster helm:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tele-Seastar-Po ... fa&vxp=mtr
I can't remember what the difference is between the 1200 and the 1200-2. I took a chance last year and bought a used one for about $700 and lucked out. Working great (so far)
It was slightly older and won't take a direct mount auto-pilot, although I still can hose one up separately. As I recall the newer ones can bolt a pilot directly to them.
I know they also make them in 24V. I'm sure other brands would work equally well.
They are a bit noisy, so try to mount it in the rear if possible. I read quotes from a few people that mounted them by the helm and didn't like the noise.
Thas gonna be a sweet ride when you fire up!

No need for auto pilot here. My buddy had it on his, I never even heard the pump. My spot is in the back so no worries here. I'm just not liking the $1200+ price tag :scared I was shopping for used ones but the only thing I saw discounted was the 24V units. Still have to get a few things before my next marathon work session, so perhaps some thing will pop up.
