No name yet, we have had her for a couple weeks now and haven't came up with one yet. She is a 22' SouthBay with a 115 Suzuki four stroker. Really been having some fun and all this room (wow) our last boat was an 18' Stingray and it was fun but cramped.

God Bless our troops and our country, as long as it remains ours. :drink

sccrab, my son has a schnauzer/lab mix with the same names. Surprisingly (as a lab mix), she does not like the water. She fell off of our dock as a puppy and has been afraid of water ever since.

WOW! I have been away for way tooooooo long. These are cutsie type of threads, and I like 'em.

Here's mine.

And for my other fishing buds, here is one I designed that went unused. Anyone can claim it.

Now for those of you that named or re-named a vessel, I really hope you followed the correct protocol. To avoid any harm that may come to those who didn't, please adhere to the following ritual.

Vigor's de-naming ceremony

"In the name of all who have sailed aboard this ship in the past, and in the name of all who may sail aboard her in the future, we invoke the ancient gods of the wind and the sea to favor us with their blessing today.

"Mighty Neptune, king of all that moves in or on the waves; and mighty Aeolus (pronounced EE-oh-lus), guardian of the winds and all that blows before them:

"We offer you our thanks for the protection you have afforded this vessel in the past. We voice our gratitude that she has always found shelter from tempest and storm and enjoyed safe passage to port.

"Now, wherefore, we submit this supplication, that the name whereby this vessel has hitherto been known _____, be struck and removed from your records.

"Further, we ask that when she is again presented for blessing with another name, she shall be recognized and shall be accorded once again the selfsame privileges she previously enjoyed.

"In return for which, we rededicate this vessel to your domain in full knowledge that she shall be subject as always to the immutable laws of the gods of the wind and the sea.

"In consequence whereof, and in good faith, we seal this pact with a libation offered according to the hallowed ritual of the sea."
Christening ceremony

=====================================================================

After a boat is de-named, you simply need to rename it using the traditional christening ceremony, preferably with Queen Elizabeth breaking a bottle of champagne on the bow, and saying the words:

"I name this ship ___________, and may she bring fair winds and good fortune to all who sail on her."

Lil' Slev, promised my daughter my boat would have her old nickname, worked good when I had the speedboat. Speedboat was Lil' Slev and my Truck was Big Slev...kind of ironic now, that Lil' Slev dwarfs Big Slev........

We've had ours about 3 weeks and it's a work in progress. 80/20 on that, much more work than progress.
We don't have a name for it yet, but we're kicking these around...

Rum Runner.

Easily Amused.

Just Faux Fun.

We got the top off of it and will scrap it in favor of a newer soft top. We're also looking for more furniture for it, we need 2 fishing chairs for the front and a couple of bench seats for the back. I have to rewire everything under the console, only the driviing controls still work. Gauges and everything else is just cut wiring so I have to figure out the wiring colors.
