Boat name decals

#1 Post by katieclooney » Mon Mar 23, 2015 6:30 pm

When ordering decals to put on the boat, is there a specific type that should be used?
I dont want to mess up the paint.

I did a search on the board and found photos of decals but no info on where to buy.

Does anyone have a site they like?

Thank you in advance :thumbsup

I got my registration numbers from these guys. The can match a lot of manufacturers fonts.

Or find a local shop that does custom vinyl decals.

Check this guy out - he does really nice work and you won't beat his customer service. He just made my a "law stick" with my boat in the logo so it looks 100% factory. He will do anything you want and prices are very fair.

Since you want graphics, you might give Name My Boat a look.

Paint is usually pretty resistant to that kind of adhesive. I actually pulled the Sun Tracker graphics off the back to put the name on.

BTW, the clipart in my sig is a screen grab from the site I bought mine from. Looks pretty close to what is on the boat.

I've put them on both sides so far - I still need to put them on the back also.

Ok I think this was the same one, you can design it on line and preview it , then it tells you what it costs with each change to your sign

Ed, it was because of seeing your graphics that I chose Boat US for our graphics.

Local sign shop that prints vinyl lettering can do them. We have one in a town of less than 2000. Then another shop 4 miles up the road. I think it was $30 to do registration and boat name.

I do graphic design as a sideline thing. My buddy and I do cornhole boards. He builds them, I do the graphics. I have done a couple boat name decals for people. I got a lady does a nice job of printing them up.

Tell me you boats name, and I'll do up something for you. I can just do lettering, or come up with a cool logo too.

I reached out to the places everyone recommended, as well as local shops. I decided to go w Cotts guy. Here is what he came up with. The red wlil be clear so the burgundy of the boat will show through
