Anchor Question

Anyway..... in this world of what seems to be a total lack of customer service, I was impressed that Digger was sending me a new stem no charge and paying freight after 8 seasons of use.

Received the the anchor arm from UPS yesterday. Digger Donnie sent the part for my 8 year old anchor, no charge and paid the freight.

Wow, that's customer service above and beyond... I would think that most companies would have said " hey, it's 8 years old "... glad they came thru for you chillin...

Hey guys.....it's been a couple years since I've been around but here I am.....anyways wanted to add something to this I hope it wasn't already mentioned. I was looking at the Wang poles previously mentioned and I couldn't help but think why couldn't this be made at home with 2 8-10 ft rebar poles with a welded handle and 2 small pieces of PVC mounted onto the side of the deck or the bracket on the rear of the pontoon. That way you could even hammer into the ground to set them deeper on windy days.

Sounds like a project to me. If you should decide to try it. Post how it works. That is if it is successful. I think I would mount it outside of the rails if at all possible and hinge it so you could fold it up when not using it.

I was looking for something to anchor the front and rear of my pontoon as well, just for keeping it in position for waves, rafting, etc. What I found was this http://www.stickitanchorpins.com/. Cost was about 60 each for the 8' sticks which work great for me in most areas.!

We made our own, dirt cheap. 8' Fiberglass stick, sort of handle on top to push it into the lake bottom, attached a line and clip to it. Its original purpose was for holding the kayak while fishing but it works for the pontoon too.
