Sorry Marc, but my boat’s in dry storage at the marina 2 hours away. It may be weeks before I will be back at the lake. I

f you look at the image above labeled Mirror 1.jpg, it’s the exact same mirror. Notice that the lower bracket has a 3-sided square channel. That clamps to the 1-1/4” square aluminum on the boat fence frame. Once mounted, you can fold it down with the pivot at the bottom, can swivel it and can adjust the angle of the mirror. It’s pretty simple. I’ve been using mine 5-6 years without any problem whatsoever.

I think I've finally come up with a solution that seems to work well for me. Some of the other suggestions that showed the suction cup mount on top of the helm wouldn't work for me because there's a raised bar behind the helm that would block most of my view from the helm if the mirror was that low.

What I ended up doing was creating a "custom" mirror. I combined parts of the two mirrors that I posted pics of above and created one that works well for me. It wasn't the most cost effective solution, but it works well. Here's the finished product.

Looks great and functional. I have added a 2nd suction cup mirror to my helm, one on each side. The rear bench does impede my view and sometimes anyone sitting in that spot will block me to a point, so with two of them I can see some of what's behind me and keep an eye on passengers near the rear. I can even cover the boat with mirrors in place, no issues. I would prefer one mounted higher like your set up Steve but for now the suction cup ones suffice for me.
