Leon,

I don't think anyone on here has ever seen a pontoon like those before, hence no one knowing what you were talking about until seeing the pics. I would like to know how stable and fast they go... You know what the say a pic is worth a 1000 words. And with those pics probably more. :rofl :biggrin2

Damn, rough crowd.

I too was a little confused, but the photos sure helped. And ya, we got a couple of those here at LOTO; some were even rentals.

Anyhoo, have you found any type of plastic with a core for stiffness? I would think that going with a sealed marine plywood would be the easiest, not necessarily the cheapest, and then add the carpet per OEM.

Maybe if you installed some more bracing then powder coated aluminum panels could work.

What happens at the lake stays at the lake. Unless I have my camera handy.

Ok, instead of being a wise guy, I'll try to help.
First thing that comes to mind is cellular PVC sheets. It comes in 1", 3/4", 5/8", 1/2" or 3/8" thickness. The sheets come 4' wide by 10',12'18',20', and of course 8'. The longer lenghs should make it an almost seamless application. The product cuts and routes like wood, with your standard wood working tools. It is completely impervious to fresh water as well as salt water. It natural color is white and there is even a wood grain texture if you like.

View the following link for certainteed and you can cross shop other manufatures like Azek and Versatex

Hope this helps, and now I going to go smoke some :smoke
ahhhh just kidding

Its good stuff and easy to work with.. Just remeber if you are going to put a fastener near the edge, pre-drill and use a screw set. I use the stuff alot in exterior home renovations and love it.
