My wife is GREAT at 2 things......
Complaining and Whinning .....
Her new thing is telling me that the batteries sitting on the back of the boat is messy looking where the batteries are, so I was wondering what your guys looks like, I dont know what she expects me to do because I dont have enough room under the seats because she has to much crap piled in there. Its a lose lose situation but I thought I would give it a shot atleast

At least she is not great at spending money!! I have a folding compartment at the back corners of my boat and my batteries are in one side... Seems like you could buy a battery box to put them in?Brandon wrote:Complaining and Whinning .....

Tell her if you put them under the seat that fumes could build up and blow her up.
Re: My wife is GREAT at 2 things......
idk build a box/cover around them

Just tell her she can put them anywhere she wants as long as she does it and the wire reaches.

Not to familiar w/ your stern area w/o a picture. Perhaps some kind of canvas could hide the area using snaps on all 4 corners.

While these are all great answers as far as a man is concerned, some of them I dont think she will go for, so tell me what you think I could do, and your right this is a great reason to buy more tools......to build a box and then carpet it? shoot me some ideas, im not the most creative

I think building a wooden box and carpeting is probably the easiest and most economical solution. You can drill holes for the wires.

Re: My wife is GREAT at 2 things......
How about a shelf over the gas tank and batteries and then a canvas snap on piece to cover the space from the shelf to the deck of the boat? That way, you could access the batteries by just unsnapping the snaps and lifting the canvas.

I would build a nice sun lounge in the rear with a rear access door to get into batteries and fuel or build a nice box with carpet and then put this on top and will still allow access and a real nice place to lounge

Excellent idea, however I believe that might be out of my price range by the end of that project.rpm121370 wrote:I would build a nice sun lounge in the rear with a rear access door to get into batteries and fuel or build a nice box with carpet and then put this on top and will still allow access and a real nice place to lounge

I figure about $400 total.. not a bad investment and will make your boat a lot more comfortable

Re: My wife is GREAT at 2 things......
Don't you just love it, you think you're doing a good job and she rips you for it.
My wife complains about stuff I add to the boat all the time. Granted our old toon was redneck, so my additions were also redneck, but it fit the boat. She's afraid my new stuff is going to redneckish on the new boat, but I try to keep the additions in class. (No more keg grill mounted to the front, damn)
I think it looks fine, yes it would be cleaner to cover it all, but you don't have a lot of storage as it is. Doesn't really look like you have any other options. So does she not like the fuel tank out in the open also?
Put the sundeck into the budget for next year. I'm sure maybe she'd go for that, then you can leave everything where it's at.

Some things she complains about I just tell her well change it and then you wont have to complain about it, and then after a few days she says "are you not going to fix this", "no it doesnt bother me just you".yellowk9 wrote:I know what I'd do, but if you're that whupped it might get you in serious trouble![]()

However when she says something about the boat which means me buying new tools and spending time outside in my building with my mini fridge of beer, Im all over that.
RPM $400 is not actually all that bad at all.
