We plan go out into the middle of the Tennessee River, and float with the wind for hours. I long ago figured out you don't have to go anywhere to enjoy a pontoon boat--and you don't have to burn any gas if you don't want to.

Otherwise, we'll be finishing our 5' x 21' addition to an existing boathouse for a new Waverunner. Then, we'll be painting the whole boathouse.

For me, the best boating weekends are the weekend before or after the Holiday weekends.

However, even if I wanted to go boating.......my daughter has a soccer tournament.

Margaritaman,

Good luck with your recovery.......back pain can really diminish the quality of life, as you probably already know. Don't rush your recovery....just take it easy for a while.....best wishes!

I'm going to put a couple racks of ribs in the smoker, take the family out for a trip around the bay, come back and chow down.

I'm dealing with some skin cancer problems, but I'm healing. The kids are home from college, we're going low key this year. We are just going to hang out over at our "islands" and have good food, adult drinks, and party with great friends.

Good Luck with the recovery. Saw my doctor yesterday. He mainly deals with injections, but set me up with a surgeon after looking at the MRI, I had just before my appointment. I told him, I would talk to the surgeon, but doubted I would opt for surgery.

Since we got some heavy rain here, I shouldn't have to work. Sounds like a great weekend. Will be out with friends partying on the beach at our local lake close to home. :drink4 :drink4 :drink4 :drink4 :drink4 :drink4 :drink4 :drink4

We live right by the lake (no dock allowed though), so hopefully some evening cruises also worked in.

Cleaning the homestead Saturday, then on the water Sunday and Monday!!! The catfish will be taking cover, but I'll track them down and offer them something they can't refuse! :nana We hal a kayak on the sundeck and use it to explore places we can't get the barge into. Also good for finding a beaching spot and checking for snags, shoals, etc. the water is still a bit cold, in upper 60's, so not much swimming, if any. Once the water hits around 70, the cats will go into spawning mode and the bite shuts off for about a month.

Either that or the Starcraft, it's in the low 90s here now and supposed to be all week.

Our are in full spawn mode as the water is reaching 75 most places now. Hence why we have switched over to noodlin! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
Going tonight to check some of our holes on the south end of my area. Cant wait!

One of my buddies was real happy with himself noodlin grouper until he grabbed a moray eel. He was lucky that he just lost the tip if a glove and a little meat off the end of a finger. The moray was just saying "go away".
