Yep, what he said. Seriously, I like the 150 Yam on mine very much.

Thank you to all who have pointed out the rating tag inside the boat! While I have not had a chance to take a look it appears searching the internet that the specs rating is a max of 150. While I will confirm with the rating tag I was hoping that this tri-toon could handle more.

My desire is certainly not to be the fastest on the water but would like to get to and from a good distance in a timely manner.

Thanks to all who have offered their opinion!

I pulled it from my race car a few years ago but I think if we file the points, try to figure out where all those red wires hook up, and squirt some methanol at it, it may fire right up... :biggrin2

Man I wish that was a mopar engine instead of a Chevy,.,,,I would put it in my 69 Road Runner!!!

Nice Road Runner! I always liked the 383 in those.
Get the max HP, so you don't have to run it hard to do what you want. its nice to have a reserve of power, and the engine is not working at its max all the time.
Like somebody else noted, I have never heard anyone say they wished for LESS power in their boat.

:lol3 LOL. Yes you did, and I thought it was pretty funny.

Maybe that's because I have a sense of humor, and actually read the whole thread first.

I guess we need a disclaimer when we intend to make a joke so we won't be misunderstood

I think I am actually pretty calm given your first response to my joke.
