Im headin to the Pittsburgh Boat Show this weekend to get my fix!! Unfortunately, Im stil lookin at another 70 days til I get my boat outta storage and another couple weeks after that to put in the water. :x :x

This winter has been quite mild around here. Normally the rivers are frozen over in January and February, not the case right now. i hope we dont pay for this mild winter with a crappy spring like last year :prayer :prayer

I usually don't mind winter, and having to deal with the cold and snow sure makes you appreciate boating season more, but I'll tell ya, it's been as easy winter so far and just after Christmas I said I was ready for spring and summer. that usually doesn't happen until we're a few weeks away from getting the boat out. Only just over two months until we're back on the water.

We've had the warmest winter since we've lived in Maryland (19 years). Nothing froze over here this year (yet) and Feb. is supposed to be above normal temps. We've had 2 very light snowstorms less than an inch of snow. I bet we'll get a late blizzard though. :scared

Probably Will!

The biggest snowstorm we've had in the last 20 years was on March 13 1994, we ended up with 25". Had another one a couple years ago around 20" in March.

While a bit early and somewhat unusual, we are probably going to put the boat in within a couple of weeks as we have had a very warm winter. If the boat were on a lift, then we would have used it last weekend.

This is the first winter that I haven't added any performance goodies to the boat. Off season is when I always tweak something. All I have is a recalled rear gate to replace, that will take about 20 minutes to install and re-stripe. Ya, pretty boring winter. All thats keeping my interest right now is teachin my wife to hunt. She really likes her new coyote rifle. Every couple needs a common hobby, in return, I'm gonna take up (get ready....) golfing.... Oh boy!

I remember a few warm winters when I was there. We did not have a lick of significant snow for the first 4 years that I owned my jeep 71-75 ... bummer

Warm winters are pretty much the norm here now, with the exceptions of winter 09 and 10.

I wouldn't mind a little bit of plowable snow. I made a homemade plow mount for my Max ATV back in December and so far, we only had an inch of snow to test it in :rofl

I spent the afternoon with the 4 year old grandson down on the dock. He was throwing acorns at the coots. Then, he decided to wade barefoot in the shallows to throw some 4" to 6" rocks. The lake is down 2' from the Summer pool.

Although it's 50+ degrees, the water's plenty cold. A 4 year old has no nerves, thankfully.

I had put his clothes in the dryer before we could go back to town. And then he cried when we left.

The Tennessee River is running @ 1.2 million gallons per minute right now. They have the spillways open on our two local (1 mile long) concrete dams flooding out the upper ends of Wilson and Pickwick Lakes. It looks like Niagra Falls times 4. We seem to get two nice days after two days of flash floods, and the ground is saturated throughout the Mid South.

We've not really had any Winter cold temperatures. I heard it was 60 degrees in New York City today--and they cancelled a Winter Festival this weekend due to warm temperatures and a lack of snow.
