Got the carpet laid rails up and seats built!!
Trying to get the carpet wrinkle free on my own was a super pain, but I finally got it. I did notice one little section with some defects but I think either the table or seat mount will hide it. The rails were kind of a nightmare for one person to do. I went through 5 drill bits and luckily my last one made it through the day. I hadn't even thought about drilling through the rub rails and the frame for each whole. I only had my ryobi rechargeable drill. Should have taken my electric high speed...
I went through 6 big scratcher pads on the rails. While they don't look perfect they will do for now. I will have to do some work on the sundeck it extended over the back of the old seats a little and since the new ones are taller I had to pop it off to line up all the seats against the rear rail. I will eventually recarpet and re-wood the sundeck anyhow.
Some where along the way my measurements were off... I have exactly an 18 inch gap at the long end of my rear group I think I may get another lounger and that way I will have a rear facing one.
The kiddies got me a top mount controller with tilt and trim switch built in.
I forgot the new cover of all things!!
After putting the rails all back together I was only less than an inch from being exactly were the old ones were. The snaps didn't quite line up at the bow.
Oh well if it gets wet it is a boat right???
